Vor dem Rebranding war das Angebot als Channel 5 +24 bekannt und wurde später zu 5 Select. Der Sender läuft auf Englisch und ergänzt das Hauptprogramm von Channel 5 mit Dokumentationen, Factual Entertainment, Dramaserien, Filmen, Comedy, Lifestyle-Formaten und Wiederholungen bekannter Programme.

Im Sendeplan von 5 Select wechseln sich Tageswiederholungen, Abendblöcke, Themenauswahl und Archivformate von Channel 5 ab. Der Sender wird über britisches digitales Antennenfernsehen sowie Kabel- und Satellitenplattformen verbreitet und bleibt als zweite Channel-5-Linie vom Hauptsender getrennt.
