Über CBBC HD

CBBC HD ist die HD-Variante des britischen Kinderfernsehsenders CBBC. Der Sender gehört zur British Broadcasting Corporation, läuft in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) auf Englisch und richtet sich an Schulkinder von 6 bis 12 Jahren.

Der Sendeplan umfasst Kinderserien, Zeichentrickserien, Animation, Bildungssendungen, Natur- und Tiersendungen, Programme über Schule und Jugendalltag, Unterhaltungsshows für Kinder und Verfilmungen von Kinderliteratur. CBBC verbindet eigene britische Projekte mit internationalen Kinderserien.

CBBC startete am 11. Februar 2002 als eigenständiger Sender, nachdem es zuvor als Programmblock auf BBC One und BBC Two gelaufen war. CBBC HD führt das Kinder- und Bildungsprofil des Hauptsenders in hoher Auflösung weiter und ist über digitales Antennenfernsehen im Vereinigten Königreich, Kabel- und Satellitennetze, IPTV/OTT-Plattformen und HD-fähige Dienste empfangbar.
