Channel 5 ist ein britischer landesweiter frei empfangbarer Fernsehsender und der fünfte terrestrische Sender des Vereinigten Königreichs. Der Sender ging am 30. März 1997 auf Sendung und bildet die Basis der Channel-5-Familie, zu der 5 USA, 5star, 5Action und weitere Themensender gehören.

Der Sendeplan von Channel 5 verbindet 5-News-Ausgaben, Dokumentarreihen über Geschichte, Natur und Gesellschaft, Unterhaltungsshows, Reality-Projekte, Dramaserien, Spielfilme, besondere Ereignisse und ausgewählte Sportübertragungen.
