STV HD ist die HD-Version von STV, dem schottischen kommerziellen Fernsehsender und regionalen ITV-Partner für Schottland. Der Sender sendet in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV), läuft in englischer Sprache und behält innerhalb des britischen Channel-3-Systems eine eigene schottische Identität.

Zum Programm gehören STV News, lokale Sendungen über Schottland und seine Regionen, Kulturformate, Sportüberblicke sowie ITV-Netzprogramme: Nachrichten, Serien, Filme, Unterhaltungsshows, Sportübertragungen und Talkshows. Die zentrale Rolle von STV liegt darin, das nationale ITV-Programm mit eigenen schottischen Nachrichten und regionalen Sendungen zu verbinden.

STV geht auf Scottish Television zurück, das am 31. August 1957 auf Sendung ging. Eigentümer ist STV Group plc, und der Sender bleibt innerhalb der ITV-Regionen eine eigene schottische Marke. STV HD zeigt das regionale Programm in hoher Auflösung und wird über digitales Antennenfernsehen, Kabel-, Satelliten- und IPTV/OTT-Netze verbreitet.
