viju TV1000 Russkoye Kino is a Russian film channel in the TV1000 family, devoted to Russian films from Soviet classics to new releases. The channel began broadcasting on 1 October 2005 at 7:00 and operates in Russian around the clock in Russia and CIS countries.
Since 1 March 2023, the channel has used the viju TV1000 Russkoye Kino brand after the Viasat rebrand. The schedule includes Russian and Soviet feature films, with regular cycles called "Nedelya rossiyskogo kino" (Week of Russian Cinema). The channel voices are Artyom Kretov, Ivan Porodnov, Vladislav Bukin and Vladimir Rybalchenko.
Since 1 June 2016, the channel has broadcast in HD format. It is owned by the Russian company Viasat. The previous name was TV1000 Russkoye Kino, used from 1 October 2005 to 28 February 2023. On 28 February 2022, the channel ceased operations in the Baltic countries and was replaced by TV1000 World Kino, then rebranded on 1 March 2023. viju TV1000 Russkoye Kino is distributed through digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
