About viju+ Planet HD
viju+ Planet HD is a Russian educational HD channel from Viasat World with documentaries and series about nature, science, history and culture. Since 1 March 2023, the channel has broadcast in Russian in the 1080i format.
viju+ Planet HD shows documentaries, popular-science programmes and series that explore topics over several episodes. The films examine natural phenomena, historical events, scientific discoveries and cultural heritage.
Viasat World grew out of the Viasat television business of Modern Times Group (MTG). After part of the channel family closed in Central and Eastern Europe in 2019-2020, the Russian version continued to operate. viju+ Planet HD is available through cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms, in Russia and CIS countries.
