Kapitan Fantastika is a Russian children's TV channel about science fiction, adventure and educational programmes. Its 24-hour broadcasting began on 1 June 2019 in Russian, and the channel replaced the previous children's channel Ginger HD.
Kapitan Fantastika shows animated series, feature films, documentary cycles and educational shows for children and teenagers. Regular projects include "Akademiya Steklyashkina" (The Steklyashkin Academy) and "Klub Voprosiki" (The Questions Club), which explain science and the surrounding world in a playful form.
Since 1 June 2019, the channel has used 576i 16:9 (SDTV) and 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) formats. The owner is AO Pervyy TVCh. Kapitan Fantastika is available through digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
