Trace Urban HD is the HD version of Trace Urban, the international French music channel devoted to contemporary urban music and the cultures around it. The Russian version broadcasts in Russian, with a music base shaped by R&B, hip-hop, dancehall, reggae, club and dance music.
The schedule includes new videos, charts and selections of R&B, hip-hop, reggae, Latin, Eastern, electronic and club music. It also features stories from music-video shoots, backstage interviews and concert recordings that show artists and the scene around contemporary urban music.
The main Trace Urban channel began broadcasting in April 2003. It was founded by Olivier Laouchez and Claude Grunitzky and is owned by Alliance Trace Media. Trace Urban has a broad international presence in music television, while the HD version keeps the focus on videos, artists, charts and the visual culture of contemporary music.
