About Sony Turbo HD (.Black)

Sony Turbo HD (.Black) was the high-definition version of Sony Turbo in Russia, later connected with the Black brand. The channel broadcast in Russian within the Sony Pictures Television family and focused on action-oriented detective stories, thrillers, action films and dramas.

The schedule included detective series, crime stories, thrillers, action projects and drama titles, mainly for men aged 25-49. It drew on the Sony Pictures library and added series and films from Paramount, BBC, Universal, Disney, Fremantle, MGM and other international producers.

Sony Turbo launched in 2012. In June 2021, Sony Pictures Television ceased broadcasting Sony Channel, Sony Turbo and Sony Sci-Fi in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, after which NMG launched Red, Black and Sci-Fi.
