About SIC Radical
SIC Radical is a Portuguese entertainment channel from the SIC group, launched on 23 April 2001. It was originally linked with youth and alternative television culture and later became a broader home for pop culture, comedy, series and music events.
The channel history includes comedy formats, youth shows, series, animation, pop culture, festivals, extreme sport and unconventional projects that introduced new faces to Portuguese television. Its tone is usually freer and more ironic than the main SIC channel.
In the SIC Radical TV guide, series sit beside comedy blocks, music events, festival coverage, repeats of cult programmes and evening entertainment. The schedule separates quieter entertainment hours from programmes that become events within SIC's more alternative space.
