About Россия К (Rossiya K)

Rossiya K [RU+2] is a time-zone version of the federal culture channel Rossiya K, with the schedule shifted two hours from Moscow time. It follows the same cultural day for eastern Russian regions, where concerts, lectures, films, documentary cycles and evening arts programmes appear closer to local time.

The programming covers Russian and world history, science, literature, music, visual art and architecture. The schedule also includes films, theatre recordings, concerts, author-led cycles and cultural premieres. The base channel launched on 25 August 1997 under the name Kultura (Culture), belongs to VGTRK, and Sergey Shumakov is the general director.
