NTV [RU+7] is a time-zone edition of the Russian federal channel NTV, with programming shifted seven hours from Moscow time. It is intended for regions using UTC+10 local time, where news, premieres, series and evening programmes appear closer to local time.
NTV programming includes news and current-affairs programmes, feature and documentary films, series, entertainment shows and sports broadcasts. The channel broadcasts in Russian around the clock.
Important stages in NTV's history include joining Russia's first digital television multiplex in 2009 and switching to 16:9 widescreen broadcasting in April 2013. Alexey Zemsky is the general director, and the owner is the Gazprom-Media holding.
In the NTV [RU+7] schedule, the seven-hour shift is most visible in news bulletins, evening premieres, series, films, current-affairs programmes and repeats. The channel remains part of NTV programming, while airtime is adapted for the eastern time zone.
