About TLC
TLC is an international entertainment TV channel from the Discovery family with programming for women. In Russia, broadcasting began on 14 January 2011, replacing Discovery Travel & Living. It operates around the clock.
The programming centres on family, parenting, weddings, beauty, health, fashion, cooking, reality projects about unusual life stories, extreme medicine and long-distance relationships. Its core audience is women aged 25 to 49.
The Russian slogan reads "Dlya tebya, dlya menya, dlya vsekh" (For You, For Me, For Everyone). Discovery, Inc. owns TLC. The abbreviation TLC originally stood for The Learning Channel, but the expansion was officially dropped in 1998. After the rebrand of Discovery Travel & Living, TLC received a new expansion as the Travel and Living Channel. TLC is available through cable networks and satellite providers of Russian and international operators.
