About НТВ HD (NTV HD)
NTV HD is the high-definition version of the Russian federal channel NTV. It broadcasts in 1080i (HDTV) and follows the schedule of the main NTV channel.
The programming brings together NTV news and analytical programmes, current-affairs formats, films, entertainment shows and sports broadcasts. The HD format presents the same broadcast strand with a high-definition picture.
The main NTV channel launched on 10 October 1993 and became one of Russia's notable federal television channels. Since 14 April 2001, it has belonged to the Gazprom-Media holding.
Alexei Zemsky is the general director. NTV HD is available from major cable and satellite operators that support HD broadcasting in Russia and the CIS.
