About Еврокино HD (Evrokino HD)
Evrokino HD is the HD version of the Russian film channel Evrokino, focused on foreign and European cinema. The channel has broadcast in 1080i 16:9 HDTV since 5 September 2018 and operates around the clock in Russian.
Its slogan is "Cinema without Borders." The programming includes foreign feature films, European cinema and reports from European film festivals. Regular programmes include "Kinoreportazh" (Cinema Reportage) on Tuesdays at 20:00 and "Kinematograficheskiy vecher" (Cinematic Evening) on Fridays at 22:00, with a selection of art-house films.
In 2024, the channel launched "Novye golosa Evropy" (New Voices of Europe), a cycle of debut works by young directors. Mikhail Georgiu has been the voice of the channel since 2024. The main Evrokino channel began broadcasting on 1 September 2008. The channel is owned by AO Telekompaniya STREAM, and the operator's legal name is OOO YEVROKINO. Evrokino HD is available through cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks from operators with HD broadcasting.
