About Суббота (Subbota)
Subbota is a Russian entertainment television channel that officially launched on 1 January 2018. Satellite broadcasting began on 15 December 2017, and since 1 February 2021 the brand name has been stylised as "Subbota!".
The line-up is built around series and entertainment programmes. Recurring projects include "Vne igry" (Out of the Game), "Smeshnoye vremya" (Funny Time), "Fitness" and "Grand", while the Russian slogan means "Get hooked on Subbota!".
Subbota is part of the Gazprom-Media holding and is headquartered in Moscow. The channel broadcasts in 16:9 SDTV, uses 1080i HDTV for internet streaming and is available via digital terrestrial television, cable networks and satellite services from Russian operators.
