About Al Jazeera HD
Al Jazeera HD is the high-definition version of the international English-language news channel Al Jazeera English. It broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV), runs around the clock in English, and remains part of the Al Jazeera network's global news coverage.
The schedule includes breaking news, analytical programmes, documentary series, live reports from event locations, journalistic investigations, talk shows on international politics, economic and social reviews, and programmes about the Middle East and developing countries.
Al Jazeera English began broadcasting on 15 November 2006 and is owned by Qatar's Al Jazeera Media Network. The channel is based in Doha and has regional centres in London, Washington and Kuala Lumpur. Al Jazeera HD is available through cable and satellite networks, IPTV/OTT platforms and other HD-capable services.
