About 5 Select

5 Select [UK] is a British free-to-air channel in the Channel 5 family, launched on 4 February 2014.

Before the rebrand, the service was known as Channel 5 +24 and later became 5 Select. The channel broadcasts in English and complements the main Channel 5 schedule with documentaries, factual entertainment, drama series, films, comedy, lifestyle projects and repeats of familiar formats.

The 5 Select schedule alternates daytime repeats, evening blocks, themed selections and archive programming from Channel 5. The channel is distributed through British digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite platforms, keeping a secondary Channel 5 line-up separate from the main network.
