About Кинопоказ (Kinopokaz)
Kinopokaz is a Russian satellite TV channel focused on feature films. The channel began broadcasting on 12 October 2007 in Russian and operates around the clock.
Since 31 October 2013, the channel has broadcast in 576i 16:9 (SDTV). It also broadcast in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) from 1 August 2008 to 1 May 2009, before returning to HD on 1 February 2019.
The Kinopokaz schedule features action films, thrillers, science fiction, comedies and dramas. Among the channel's own projects is "Kinopersona" (Cinema Personality). The daily schedule is divided into three eight-hour blocks, with the premiere block starting at 18:00 and featuring four films.
Foreign and Russian films share the schedule. The channel is owned by the National Satellite Company and AO Pervyy TVCh. Kinopokaz is available through digital terrestrial television, cable networks and satellite providers of Russian and international operators, as well as through IPTV/OTT platforms.
