About Киносвидание (Kinosvidaniye)

Kinosvidaniye is a Russian film channel from the Nastroy Kino! channel family of the Red Media holding. The channel began broadcasting on 1 October 1996 at 19:00 Moscow time and operates around the clock in Russian. From 1 October 1996 to 1 October 2002 it was called NTV-Plus Mir Kino, from 1 October 2002 it was renamed NTV-Plus Kinoklub, and later it was renamed Kinosvidaniye. The slogan is "Filmy, kotorye khochetsya smotret vdvoyom" (Films you want to watch together).

Kinosvidaniye shows foreign feature films — romantic pictures, melodramas and films for a shared evening. From 1998 to 2002, the channel carried the Oscar Awards ceremony. The voice of the channel in 1996—1997 was Konstantin Koshkin. The channel is available in SDTV (576i) and HDTV (1080i).

Igor Tolstunov was the first director. Sergey Fiks served as editor-in-chief and from 1996 to 2003 also ran NTV's film programming. The owner is the Red Media media group, with headquarters in Moscow at the Ostankino television centre. Kinosvidaniye is distributed through cable networks, satellite operators and IPTV/OTT platforms in the Russian pay-TV market.
