Rodnoye Kino is a Russian film TV channel dedicated to domestic cinema. Broadcasting around the clock in Russian, it went on air on 1 September 1996. From 1 September 1996 to 1 November 2007 the channel was called Nashe Kino, from 2 November 2007 to 14 August 2016 it was named NTV-Plus Nashe Kino, and on 15 August 2016 it was officially renamed Rodnoye Kino.
On air are Russian feature films and series. Regular programmes include "Intervyu" (Interview), "Besedy o kino" (Cinema Conversations) and "KiNovosti" (Cinema News). The voice of the channel in 1996—1998 was Vsevolod Abdulov, with Aleksandr Kolbovskiy serving as editor-in-chief. The channel has aired in 576i 16:9 (SDTV) format since 2011.
Igor Tolstunov was the first director. From 1996 to 2003 and from 2006 to 2016 the channel was owned by NTV-Plus, and since 2016 the owner has been OOO TPO Red Media. Headquarters are located in Moscow at the Ostankino television centre. Rodnoye Kino is available through digital terrestrial television, cable networks and satellite providers of Russian and international operators, as well as through IPTV/OTT platforms.
