About TVR1
TVR1 is Romania’s first public television channel and the main channel of the national broadcaster TVR.
It broadcasts in Romanian and brings together news, current-affairs programmes, cultural projects, films, series, sports broadcasts and special editions. The schedule includes news blocks, interviews, debates, documentary cycles, programmes about Romanian culture, concerts, national events, international competitions and entertainment formats.
The channel works as the main public-television showcase, where news, culture and major events sit next to each other. TVR1 alternates today’s news, talk shows, films, broadcasts, repeats and evening blocks, including prime-time programmes.
