Kinohit is a Russian satellite film channel created by NTV-Plus in 2004. It began broadcasting on 15 November 2004 as NTV-Plus Kinohit, moved to round-the-clock broadcasting on 16 May 2005, and has used the name Kinohit since 15 August 2016. The channel broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV).
The schedule focuses on foreign and Russian feature films. It includes themed film blocks, selections of popular titles from different periods, and screenings with multi-channel Dolby Digital sound when that audio track is available.
Since 2015, the channel has been owned by the Red Media holding. Its broadcast area is Russia, and the headquarters are in Moscow at the Ostankino television centre. Kinohit is distributed through cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks of Russian operators.
