SET (.Red) is a Russian cable and satellite channel for entertainment films, series and shows with a focus on formats for women. It began broadcasting in 2009 as Sony Entertainment Television (SET) / Sony Channel and became Sony Pictures Television International's second project on the Russian market after Sony Sci-Fi.
On 24 June 2021, the channel was rebranded as Red. It operates in Russian around the clock, is subscription-based and has no advertising breaks. On air are films, series and entertainment shows, with a library of more than 4,000 films and more than 40,000 hours of American and European TV series.
After the rebrand, Red shows films and series from Sony Pictures, supplemented by titles from Paramount, BBC, Universal, Disney, Fremantle, MGM and other international producers. The channel broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV). It was owned by Sony Pictures Television Networks, represented by Sony Pictures Television, Media Telecom. On 24 June 2021, Sony Pictures Television ended Sony Channel, Sony Turbo and Sony Sci-Fi in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, after which NMG launched the successor channels Red, Black and Sci-Fi. SET (.Red) is distributed through digital terrestrial, cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
