NST is a Russian film channel devoted to films and series in horror, thriller, mystery, science fiction and black humour. The channel launched on 1 October 2006 and operates in Russian around the clock.
On 3 October 2011, the channel went through a rebrand, and on 23 December 2016 it switched from 4:3 to widescreen 16:9 broadcasting and became available with stereo sound. On air are thrillers, horror, mystery, science fiction, black humour and anime.
NST aired the animated series "Monsters" with the characters Slasher, Dracula, Mummy and Zombie. The channel also produced "Encyclopedia of Horror", "Masterpieces of Horror", "World of Anime" about Japanese animation and manga, and "DOOM and more" about horror video games.
NST was part of the NKS Media holding. In 2015, after the assets of VGTRK and Rostelecom were combined, the channel became part of the Tsifrovoye Televideniye (Digital Television) thematic channel package. NST is available through digital cable and satellite broadcasting in Russia, digital terrestrial television and IPTV/OTT platforms.
