Russkiy Bestseller is a Russian film channel about popular domestic films and series. It began broadcasting on 1 October 2012 at 18:00 Moscow time, operates in Russian around the clock and has been available outside Russia since 1 November 2014.
The schedule includes films and series that became notable events on Russian television, such as "Master i Margarita" (The Master and Margarita), "Idiot" (The Idiot), "Brigada" (The Brigade), "Likvidatsiya" (Liquidation), "Kamenskaya", "Svaty" (Matchmakers) and other projects. On air are themed film blocks, cycles of Russian cinema and series from different genres.
From 1 October 2012 to 31 May 2021, the channel used the 576i 4:3 (SDTV) format, and on 1 June 2021 it switched to 576i 16:9 (SDTV). Until 2014 it was owned by FGUP VGTRK, and since 2014 it has belonged to AO Tsifrovoye Televideniye (Digital Television). Russkiy Bestseller is distributed through digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
