About Перец (Perets)

Perets is a Russian federal entertainment television channel broadcasting in Russian. It began on 7 June 1999 as Daryal TV and adopted the Perets brand on 17 October 2011.

The schedule is built around original in-house entertainment programmes, comic formats and general entertainment shows. In 2013-2014 the on-air slogan was "Perets prikolnyy!" (Perets is fun), and from 2012 to 2014 Artur Bitov was the channel voice.

From 2002 to 2007 Perets was part of the Viasat media group. The channel is transmitted in 576i (SDTV). Its distribution covers more than 400 Russian cities through digital terrestrial television, cable networks and satellite platforms operated by Russian and international providers.
