Baby TV is an international 24-hour children's TV channel for preschoolers aged 3 and over. The first launch took place in Israel in December 2003, and the main international broadcast began on 4 July 2005. In the CIS countries, Baby TV came on air on 7 July 2007.
The line-up includes animated programmes, educational cycles and developmental projects such as "Hands Up", "Tulli", "Bouncy Balls", "Jammers", "Little Chick" and "1, 2, 3, Tell A Story". The schedule also features "Baby First Words", "Baby Bedtime Stories" and "Baby Music Time". The brand uses the slogan "Play, Learn, Grow".
The channel broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 HDTV and was known as Baby Butterfly from 2005 to 2012. Baby TV belongs to the international structure of The Walt Disney Company EMEA and became part of Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer & International after Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox. The channel is present in more than 100 countries and is distributed through digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks.
