Russkiy Illyuzion is a Russian thematic film channel devoted to classic and modern Russian cinema. The channel began broadcasting on 1 July 2004 and operates in Russian around the clock.
From 1 July 2004 to 5 December 2018, the channel broadcast in 576i 4:3 (SDTV), and since 5 December 2018 it has used 1080i 16:9 (HDTV). Since October 2015, the channel has broadcast outside Russia under the name Russkiy Illyuzion: International Version.
On air are Russian and Soviet feature films and series. In 2009, the concept changed: the number of Soviet films decreased, while modern Russian and Ukrainian films became more prominent. The in-house projects include "Istorii za kadrom" (Stories Behind the Scenes).
Mikhail Georgiu has been the channel voice since 2024, while Yuriy Brezhnev held that role in 2014-2021. The channel is owned by AO Telekompaniya STREAM (Content-Union) and is distributed through satellite, digital terrestrial and cable networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms of Russian and international operators.
