Cinema is a Russian movie channel devoted to 20th-century European films and world cinema hits from previous decades. The channel broadcasts in Russian and chooses calm, recognisable film programming with an emphasis on time-tested titles.
The brand is connected with the former channel Park Razvlecheniy (Amusement Park), which began broadcasting on 1 November 2006. In 2017, the channel adopted a new name and shifted its focus to European cinema, classics, notable directors and films that have already stood the test of time.
The schedule includes dramas, comedies, melodramas, adventure films and selections of 20th-century world cinema. Cinema broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 HDTV and belongs to the Digital Television media environment. The schedule includes daytime repeats, evening films, themed blocks and weekend screenings.
