About viju TV1000

viju TV1000 is a Russian film channel from the TV1000 family, dedicated to feature films. It broadcasts in Russian around the clock and uses the slogan "I See Better".

The schedule includes international and Russian films, themed selections, romantic melodramas, comedies, psychological thrillers and action films. The viju TV1000 family includes themed strands such as Action, Novella, Romantica and Russkoe, grouping films by genre and mood.

Since 29 April 2014, the channel has used the 576i 16:9 (SDTV) format, and since 1 June 2016 it has broadcast in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV). The first TV1000 channel began broadcasting on 1 September 1989, while the Russian service started in March 2003. On 1 March 2023, the channel received the name viju TV1000 as part of the Viasat rebranding.

The channel is owned by the Viasat World media group, and ZAO FELISTA operates it in Russia. viju TV1000 is available through cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms in Russia and other countries.
