AzTV is Azerbaijan’s national television channel and one of the country’s oldest television brands. Television broadcasting in Baku began on 14 February 1956, so AzTV is tied both to the current schedule and to the history of Azerbaijani television.
The AzTV programme includes news, public-affairs programmes, documentaries, cultural broadcasts, music editions, feature films and special transmissions. The channel covers state and public topics, state ceremonies, cultural concerts, historical cycles and programmes about life in the regions.
AzTV broadcasts in Azerbaijani and belongs to the television structure connected with other Azerbaijani state channels. The channel is distributed through terrestrial television, cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks with Azerbaijani broadcasting.
