About Национальное телевидение Калмыкии (Natsionalnoye Televideniye Kalmykii)
Natsionalnoye Televideniye Kalmykii is the television channel of the Republic of Kalmykia. It operates around the clock, broadcasts in Russian and Kalmyk, and is also known by the abbreviation NTK.
The schedule includes news broadcasts, reviews of events in the republic and the country, informational and educational in-house programmes, reports and thematic cycles in the Kalmyk language. Main projects include "Utro Kalmykii" (Morning of Kalmykia), "Region 08", "Nevydumannye istorii" (True Stories) and "Kalmytskiy aktsent" (Kalmyk Accent).
The channel also covers cultural and sporting events, including ceremonies, international forums, parades, chess tournaments and concerts. NTK is part of the Republican Information Agency Kalmykia. The channel previously operated under the name Khamdan and was founded in 2005. Natsionalnoye Televideniye Kalmykii is carried on channel position 21 across the republic’s networks and is available through regional cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks.
