About Курай TV (Kurai TV)
Kurai TV is the first Bashkir music television channel, broadcasting in the Bashkir language around the clock. Its core audience is 30 to 50, and its music direction is connected with Bashkir culture and popular music.
The channel belongs to the Bashkortostan television and radio broadcasting company. The line-up includes concerts of Bashkir pop and variety performers, songs by young artists, new music videos, retro concerts and solo programmes. Music makes up about 80 percent of the airtime.
In-house cycles include "Moñlo irtä", "Yırzarım hezzeñ ösön", "Yondozlo tön", "Onotolor timä.", "Yäşter tauışı", "Premyera", "Kis ulturup", "Naza", "Ilham", "Asılyär", "Yırlı bülak", "Yöräk hüze" and the weekly chart "Qurai-hit". The channel began broadcasting in 2009, based on the music programme Volshebnyy kurai (Magic kurai), which aired on BST. Kurai TV works with young talent from the Republic of Bashkortostan and runs projects, competitions and promotional events in concert halls and club venues. The channel is available through Russian cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks.
