A1 is a Russian cable film channel from Amedia TV dedicated to international series, films and documentary projects. It broadcasts in Russian around the clock and is aimed at adult viewers, with an emphasis on premium series and films.
A1 shows series from major international studios, award-winning films, documentaries and feature-length animation. Its genre range covers drama, action, dark comedy, thrillers and serious documentary work. Premieres, retrospectives and themed cycles run regularly on the channel.
The channel began broadcasting in July 2011 under the name Amedia 1. On 7 November 2016, it received the name A1 as part of the Amedia channel rebranding. The owner is Amedia TV.
A1 is available through digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
