About НВК Саха HD (NVK Sakha HD)
NVK Sakha HD is the HD version of the regional channel of the National Broadcasting Company Sakha. The company began broadcasting on 3 March 1992, and its broadcast centre is located in Yakutsk.
The channel covers life in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): news, culture, sport, public events and subjects connected with the Indigenous peoples of the North. Its schedule includes information, analytical, public-affairs, music and entertainment, educational, sports, cultural and children’s programmes.
NVK Sakha HD broadcasts in Russian and Yakut and also produces materials in Even, Evenki and Yukaghir. Regular areas include news, culture, sport and children’s editions. Nina Kharitonova has served as general director since 2017. The HD version schedule brings together news editions, cultural projects, sports blocks and children’s programmes.
