About Известия HD (Izvestia HD)
Izvestia HD is the HD version of the Izvestia news channel. It broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) and follows the line-up of the main 24-hour news channel.
The schedule includes news editions, information bulletins, digests, weather blocks, live reports and short programmes about the events of the day. Recurring projects include "Novosti" (News), "Daydzhest" (Digest), "Kursy dnya" (Rates of the Day), "Pogoda" (Weather), "Den, vek, epokha" (Day, Century, Era) and "Pryamaya translyatsiya" (Live Transmission).
The main Izvestia channel began broadcasting on 18 August 2017, belongs to the National Media Group and represents the television news arm of the Izvestia brand. Vladimir Tyulin is the general director, and Mikhail Frolov is the chief editor. The HD version keeps the main channel’s news line-up in 1080i.
