About Киномикс (Kinomiks)

Kinomiks is a Russian film TV channel dedicated to feature films and series of different genres, from classics to 21st-century productions. The channel began broadcasting on 2 November 2009 under the name NTV-Plus KinoPlus and operates around the clock in Russian.

On 15 August 2016, after a rebrand, the channel received its current name Kinomiks. It shows foreign and Russian feature films from different eras and genres, themed film blocks, selections of popular titles and screenings with Dolby Digital sound when that audio track is available in the source material. Regular projects include the in-house programme "Plyus Kino" (Plus Cinema), hosted by Olga Demidova.

Kinomiks broadcasts the Golden Globe, Nika and European Film Academy award ceremonies. From 2 November 2009 to 15 May 2011, broadcasting used the 576i 4:3 (SDTV) format, and since 16 May 2011 the 576i 16:9 (SDTV) format has been in use. NTV-Plus founded the channel, and the Red Media holding owns it today. Kinomiks is available in Russia and Belarus through digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
