About Euronews
Euronews is a pan-European television news network aimed at an international audience. The channel launched on 1 January 1993 and broadcasts around the clock.
Euronews covers international news and analysis in thirteen languages, with reporting on political, economic, cultural and scientific events. The channel's slogan is "Pure". Since 11 January 2011, broadcasting has been in 16:9 widescreen format.
Euronews is majority-owned by Alpac Capital, with headquarters in Lyon, France. Peter Barabas serves as chief editor, and Lucian Sarb as editorial director. Euronews is available via digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks of operators in Europe and other regions.
