Mir is an interstate television channel of CIS member states. The channel began its own television service on 1 September 2003. Mir shows news, analytical programmes and children's programming. Recurring shows include the analytical programme "Vmeste" (Together), hosted by Yekaterina Abramova. The channel's slogan is "This Amazing World".
Mir is part of the Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir (MTRK Mir), which also includes the channel Mir 24, the Mir radio station, the Mir 24 digital service and the Mir-Teleport satellite system. Radik Batyrshin heads MTRK Mir and chairs the channel's board of directors. The channel has been broadcasting in HD format (1080i 16:9) since 1 January 2015. Mir is available via digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks of operators across CIS countries, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
