About TRT AVAZ
TRT AVAZ is an international channel of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, aimed at Turkey, the Balkans, the Caucasus and Turkic-speaking regions of Central Asia. The modern channel began under the TRT AVAZ name on 21 March 2009, the day of Nowruz.
The TRT AVAZ line-up includes news, documentary series, cultural programmes, concerts, shows about traditions, history, languages, travel and links between countries of the Turkic world.
The channel presents the cultural geography of the region through music, people, festivals, cities and everyday life.
TRT AVAZ brings together TRT's international perspective with cultural themes from Turkey and neighbouring regions, so news, archive material, concerts and documentary stories appear side by side.
The TRT AVAZ TV guide lists news bulletins, cultural projects, documentary series, reruns and evening themed blocks.
