Animal Planet HD is the HD version of the international documentary channel Animal Planet. The HD version carries the main Animal Planet channel in high definition.
Animal Planet HD shows films about animals in their natural habitat, programmes on environmental protection, stories about endangered species, and series about pets and people for whom wildlife is part of everyday life.
The main channel Animal Planet began broadcasting in Russia on 1 October 1996 and is part of the Warner Bros. Discovery media group. The HD version is available through cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms of Russian and international operators.
