About Discovery HD
Discovery HD is the HD version of the international educational channel Discovery. The HD version carries the main Discovery channel in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV).
Discovery HD shows documentary films and popular-science programmes about technology, nature, history and scientific discoveries. The programme "Delo Tekhniki" (A Matter of Technology) was hosted by Sergey Apresov, editor-in-chief of the Russian Popular Mechanics magazine.
The main Discovery channel has been distributed in Russia since 21 April 1998 and is part of Warner Bros. Discovery. OOO Media Alliance is the operating company in Russia. The HD version is available through cable and satellite networks of Russian and international operators, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
