Nat Geo Wild HD is the HD version of Nat Geo Wild, a pan-European pay channel dedicated to documentary films about nature and wildlife. The HD version broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) format.
Nat Geo Wild HD shows documentaries and series about nature, animals and wild habitats. Recurring shows include "Planet Earth", "The Incredible Dr. Pol", "Big Cat Diary", "Savage Kingdom" and "Secrets of the Zoo". In Russia, the channel uses the slogan "Nature without Borders".
The main Nat Geo Wild channel began broadcasting on 1 March 2007, replacing Adventure One, and adopted the name National Geographic Wild in 2019. The channel is owned by the National Geographic Partners joint venture, in which The Walt Disney Company holds 73% of shares and the National Geographic Society 27%. The HD version launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 1 April 2009 and is available through Russian and international cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
