About Первый канал Европа (Channel One Europe)
Channel One Europe is the international version of Channel One Russia for audiences outside Russia. The channel launched on 27 September 1999 under the name "ORT-Mezhdunarodnoye" (ORT International). On 1 September 2002, the international version was renamed "Channel One. World Network".
The schedule consists of Russian-language programmes from the main channel. The channel has been broadcasting in HD format (1080i 16:9) since 18 June 2019 under the slogan "Channel One. World Network".
The channel is owned by JSC Channel One. Alexey Efimov serves as general director of the "Channel One Digital" subsidiary, which oversees international projects. Channel One Europe is available via cable networks and satellite providers across European countries.
