viju History TV guide for the week

viju History is an educational channel from Viasat World with documentary films and series about history, politics, sport, art, inventions and modern technology. The Russian-language version broadcasts around the clock for viewers in Russia and the CIS.

viju History shows historical documentary series from around the world, projects about the ancient world, investigations, historical dramas, cycles about royal families, military history, travel and religions. The programmes use eyewitness accounts, expert commentary, documents and archive footage.

The channel began broadcasting on 1 November 2004 under the name Viasat History. It belonged to the Viasat family of documentary channels for Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS. After the Viasat rebranding on 1 March 2023, the channel in Russia and the CIS received the name viju History. viju History is part of the Viasat World documentary group and is available through cable and satellite networks, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
