About Наука 2.0 (Nauka 2.0)

Nauka 2.0 is a Russian 24-hour science and educational TV channel. Test broadcasting began on 15 February 2011, with programming in Russian.

The line-up centres on popular-science programmes about achievements in science and technology. In December 2011, Nauka 2.0 showed the Nobel Prize ceremony from Stockholm live. Its slogan reads "Prosto o slozhnom" (Simply about the Complex).

Until 2014, Nauka 2.0 belonged to VGTRK. Since 2014, AO Tsifrovoye Televideniye has owned it. On 1 April 2016, the brand changed to Nauka. Since 30 March 2017, broadcasting has been delivered in 16:9 with stereo sound. Mariya Semyonova serves as chief editor. Nauka 2.0 is available through digital terrestrial television, cable networks and satellite providers of Russian and international operators.
