Muz TV HD is the high-definition version of Muz TV, the Russian federal music television channel. Its round-the-clock schedule is built around popular music, videos, charts, concerts, music awards and entertainment programmes.
The channel is part of Russia's second digital television multiplex. Music airtime is split roughly 75 percent Russian videos and 25 percent international videos. In-house formats include "Nashe" (Ours), a selection of clips by Russian performers, while the HD version keeps the same programming model in a high-definition television format.
The original Muz TV channel began broadcasting on 1 May 1996, replacing K-10, and remains one of the oldest music and entertainment brands on Russian television. Over the years, the channel changed format several times, including a 2010-2012 period as a youth entertainment channel about popular culture. The Muz TV HD TV guide shows videos, charts, concerts, awards and entertainment blocks.
