Pershyi is the Ukrainian public television channel of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine. It broadcasts in Ukrainian around the clock and is the main television channel of the country's public broadcaster.
The schedule combines news, analysis, current-affairs programmes, cultural and educational cycles, documentaries, sport, feature films and series. The channel also shows state ceremonies, national holidays and televised coverage of important public or political events.
The channel's history goes back to 1965, when Ukrainian television began. After the 2017 public broadcasting reform, Pershyi became part of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine. The Pershyi TV guide shows upcoming news, cultural projects, documentaries, sports broadcasts and special editions.
