About Перший HD (Pershyi HD)
Pershyi HD is the high-definition version of Pershyi, Ukraine's public television channel. It broadcasts in Ukrainian and presents the schedule of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine in HD.
The channel shows news bulletins, analysis, current-affairs programmes, cultural and educational cycles, documentaries, sport, feature films and series. Separate blocks are devoted to state ceremonies, national holidays and televised coverage of events of public importance.
The history of the main channel goes back to 1965. After the 2017 public broadcasting reform, Pershyi became part of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine. The Pershyi HD TV guide shows upcoming news, cultural projects, documentaries, sports broadcasts and special editions in high definition.
